Tip: Fragrance Oils and Essential Oils will have an effect on surfactant based systems. To minimize any negative effects, essential oils should be added carefully to a small portion of the shampoo or body wash before adding to the whole batch. It sometimes helps to mix the essential oil with 1-3% solubilizer such as we have done with AquaEm. Other solubilizers/refatting ingredients that can be used to blend essential oils into shampoo are: Raspberry Dimethicone WS or Olivoil PEG 7 Esters or Shea Butter WS.
