A Perfectly Natural Lotion

For those who seek natural ingredients, excellent conditioning and afterfeel, this could be the perfect lotion formula! NatraMulse, VenaSilk and UltraMaize provide this highly desirable emulsification system. This natural system also works synergistically to impart conditioning with a superior afterfeel. Our Perfectly Natural Lotion is enriched with Olive Squalane, Meadowfoam Seed Oil and Botanical Complex LSC. These emollients offer many skin care benefits, including nutrients, stability and lovely feel in application. The Herbarie’s Antioxidant Complex T 5 delivers a unique complex of botanicals that are known to contain high levels of phytochemicals known as polyphenols. These polyphenols exhibit antioxidant qualities that are useful in anti-aging formulas. This light, lotion formula was created especially for summer, but is lovely any time of the year.

In Part A, heat distilled water and glycerin to 175F.

*In Part B, premix VenaSilk and UltraMaize and set aside. Combine remainder Part B ingredients and heat to 175F. Remove from heat and disperse premixed VenaSilk and UltraMaize into the melted, hot oil phase.

*Add Part A to Part B and begin mixing. Overhead mixer or hand-held stick blender works well. As emulsion forms and begins to thicken and cool, switch to paddle attachment or hand-held whip or other stir tool. Continue to stir until cool down. Cool to 50C/122F, add Part D and mix well.

*For an extra luscious lotion, distilled water can be replaced with one of The Herbarie Hydrosols if desired.

*We recommend using an electric stovetop or hot plate. Microwave is not recommended.
