Silky Sheer Asian Lily Lotion with PlantaMulse Pastilles

All Natural Silky Sheer Asian Lily Lotion features our Natural Emulsifier PlantaMulse™ Pastilles. This sheer, non-whitening formula is skin-softening without a heavy feel. Emulsions made with PlantaMulse™ Pastilles have excellent stability and an exceptionally soft feel.

Cucumber Extract and Rose Hydrosol provide nutrients and gentle astringency to the water phase, while Abyssinian Oil, Passionfruit Oil, and Calendula Extract OS condition and smooth dry skin. Tamarind Seed Extract provides excellent moisturization. Sensique Asian Lily Scented Botanical Extract offers skin care benefits as well as a delightlfully delicate fragrance! All ingredients work together to make a light, but conditioning lotion with a soft non-greasy feel.

Part C
Sensique Asian Lily SBE2.0% = 10 grams
Tamarind Seed Extract5.0% = 25 grams
Optiphen0.8% = 4 grams
Total100.0% = 500 grams
  • Part A: Combine all ingredients and heat until all solids are melted. Do not scorch.
  • Part B: Combine all ingredients at room temperature and begin heating to 175F/79C while stirring continuously. Do not scorch.
  • Add Part B to Part A all at once and then begin mixing with a high shear mixer such as a stick blender. Continue to mix as emulsion forms and cools to 120F or less.
  • Add Part C ingredients with mixing (switch from high shear to stir tool such as hand held whisk) when temperature is less than 100F/37C. Package in airless containers (see Containers and Packaging) or lotion bottles with pump or dispensing cap.

Formulating Tips

  • Direct heat - electric hotplates or stovetops are recommended. We do not recommend using a water bath or microwave. Monitor constantly while heating.
  • Our Stainless steel beakers are perfect for small lab size batches as well as batches up to 1000 grams. (see Equipment and Accessories).
  • Overhead mixer or hand held stick blender can be used. When emulsion begins to thicken, switch to a paddle attachment or hand held stir tool such as our stainless steel whips.
  • Airless Containers are recommended (see Packaging and Containers).
