Soothing Soy Lotion

This light lotion is easy to make. It is soothing and moisturizing to skin without leaving a greasy feel. Emulsifying Wax NF provides the emulsification system in this formulation. Our exquisite Abyssinian Oil and Shea Butter provide lovely emolliency and conditioning. Hydrolyzed Soy Protein increases the ability of the skin to hold moisture and provides a smoothing effect to skin.

Ingredient Part A Distilled Water Glycerin Hydrolyzed Soy Protein Part B Emulsifying Wax NF Abyssinian Oil Shea Butter Part C Optiphen Fragrance or Essential Oil (optional) Total

Amount 85.5% = 427.5 grams 1.5% = 7.5 grams 2.0% = 10 grams 5.0% = 25 grams 4.0% = 20 grams 1.0% = 5 grams 1.0% = 5 grams   100.0% = 500 grams

In Part A, combine all ingredients and heat to 175F. Combine Part B ingredients and heat to 175F. Add Part A to B with high shear mixing. Cool to 50C/122F, add Part C and mix well.

*Distilled Water can be replaced with one of The Herbarie Hydrosols if desired.
