Silk and Satin Emulsion with Botanicals

The ingredients in this silky, soft lotion offer rich conditioning and no oily residue. Our formula is based on natural source products and features some of our newest favorites! The Botanical Complex LSC provides the best in skin care botanicals in an oil soluble form – Calendula, Chamomile, Rose, Red Clover, Elder Flower, and White Willow Bark – to soothe rough dry skin. Avena Oat Extract WS will help the skin to retain moisture and impart a silky feel to skin. Tamarind Seed Extract offers excellent moisturizing and skin smoothing qualities. BTMS-Conditioning Emulsifier functions as the emulsifier in the formula, but also provides excellent conditioning and superior feel.

Ingredient Part A Distilled Water Tamarind Seed Extract Avena Oat Extract WS Part B BTMS-Conditioning Emulsifier Jojoba Oil Botanical Complex LSC Part C Cosmocil CQ Total

Amount 79% = 395 grams 3% = 15 grams 2% = 10 grams 7% = 35 grams 5% = 25 grams 3% = 15 grams 1% = 5 grams 100% = 500 grams

Heat Part A to 175F. Heat Part B to 175F. Add Part A to Part B with mixing. Continue to mix as emulsion forms and cools to 120F or less. Add Part C ingredients with mixing. Package. Not recommended for a pump container.

Notes: This lotion is very light. For greater viscosity and more conditioning try the following:
-increase BTMS-CE to 8%
-add 1-2% butter or fatty alcohol
-Add 0.2-0.5% HEC, or UltraMaize
