Rose Geranium Sugar Smoother

We are featuring two new products -- AquaEm™ and Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate (SSL) that work beautifully in this thick and creamy formula. SSL provides light foaming and cleansing while conditioning skin. SSL also provides this formula with body and texture. AquaEm functions as a water-soluble emollient that enhances the overall feel and functionality of this formula. The sugar in the formula acts as an exfollient which will leave skin feeling soft and smooth. This formula is now a favorite!

Ingredient Part A SSL EmBlend CA20 AquaEm Calendula Extract o/s Olive Squalane Covio-Ox T-50 Rice Bran Oil Part B Optiphen Rose Geranium Essential Oil Total *Sugar 500 grams = approx. 1 cup sugar

Amount 15.0% = 75 grams 10% = 50 grams 10% = 50 grams 2.0% = 10 grams 1.0% = 5 grams 1.0% = 5 grams 59.0% = 295 grams 1.0% = 5 grams 1.0% = 5 grams 100.0% = 500 grams

Procedure: Heat Part A until all solids are melted. Remove from heat. Stir continuously until mixture begins to solidify-I use a mixer (the type for mixing cake batter). When mixture is cool (less than 50C/122F), add Part B. Mixture will continue to cool and begin to solidify. I sometimes place the pot into a container of cold water to speed up the cool-down process, but continue to stir/mix as it is cooling. Add sugar and continue to mix.

*Please note: The sugar is not calculated as part of the formulation. It is added at a 1/1 ratio (by weight) to the formulation, which in this case would be 500grams or approximately 1 cup.
