Our Rose Geranium spends the entire summer in our secret garden just outside my office window. It thrives in the warmth of the sun and deeply composted soil. Since Rose Geranium is one of my favorite aromatic plants, I placed my garden bench near it so I could enjoy the fragrance whenever I had a chance to sit down! We can harvest twice each summer and have just completed our first distillation this year. Rose Geranium is a tender perennial and won't overwinter here without protection. So, just before our first frost, I will harvested the remainder of the lush, aromatic leaves for distillation, giving thanks and honoring the plant for it's beautiful generosity.
At The Herbarie, we distill the botanical for the sole purpose of obtaining a quality distillate or hydrosol. We do not remove the essential oils, but allow them to be enjoyed as part of the aromatic hydrosol.

Rose Geranium offers humectancy, gentle astringency and antiseptic characteristics.
Rose Geranium Hydrosol can be used directly on skin as a skin freshener or toner. It can also be used as part of the water phase in creams, lotions, facial cleansers, etc.
