Lemongrass and Myrtle Bath Gel

Herbal fresh, green-citrus – Lemongrass & Myrtle! This simple, cold-mix bath gel formula features The Herbarie’s two new natural gum thickeners – Xanthix and GuarThix. These two natural gums work synergistically to increase viscosity. Our ultra-mild surfactants – Cocamidopropyl Betaine and Polyglucose/Lactylate Blend provide gentle cleansing with good foaming. AquaEm provides emolliency without compromising foam or clarity. AquaEm also serves to solubilize the essential oils into the formula.

Ingredient Part A Distilled Water *Melissa Hydrosol XanThix GuarThix Part B Cocomidopropyl Betaine Polyglucose/Lactylate Blend dl Panthenol Hydrolyzed Oats Part C AquaEm *Lemongrass & Myrtle Essential Oils Liquid Germall Plus Total

Amount 35.7.0% = 178.50 grams 20.0% - 100 grams 0.6% = 3.0 grams 0.4% = 2 grams 10.0% = 50 grams 25.0% = 125 grams 2.0% = 10 grams 2.0% = 10 grams 3.0% = 15 grams 1.0% = 5 grams 0.3% = 1.5 grams 100.0% = 500 grams

Part A: Combine Distilled Water and Rosemary Hydrosol, set aside. Pre-mix XanThix and GuarThix. Add XanThix/GuarThix to Distilled Water/Hydrosol with mixing. It is helpful to create a vortex and while continuing to stir, add the powder to the center of the vortex. Mix well and set aside to hydrate for 15 minutes.

Part B: Add ingredients to Part A with gentle mixing.

Part C: Combine AquaEm with Essential Oils and mix. Add portion of combined PartA/B to AquaEm/Essential Oil mixture. Add preservative and combine all together. Package.

* We've chosen Melissa Hydrosol and a 1/1 ratio Lemongrass Essential Oil and Myrtle Essential Oil in this formula, but other hydrosols and essential oils can be used. Some of our favorite Herbarie Hydrosol and Essential Oil combinations for shampoo/body wash:
