Herbarie Update
Gentle Oats Baby WashTThis tearless, non-irritating formula was created especially for delicate or sensitive skin and can be used as a body wash or shampoo. Hydrolyzed Oats and VenaSilk will soothe, soften and condition, while exceptionally mild Baby Blend Concentrate gently cleanses. AquaEm will solubilize as well as add light emolliency without compromising foam or clarity.
1) Weigh VenaSilk in a separate container, add glycerin, mix into a paste and set aside. 2) In another container, combine distilled water and Hydrolyzed Oats and heat to approximately 175F. 3) Slowly add (hot) distilled water/hydrolyzed oats mixture to VenaSilk/glycerin mixture, mixing well with each addition. Set aside. 4) Combine BBC surfactant concentrate and Conditioning Thickener. Heat until Conditioning Thickener is completely melted/dissolved. Do not overheat -- a bit of the #3 mixture can be added with gentle stirring. When Conditioning Thickener is completely melted, add remainder of #3 ingredients. 5) Cool-down to 120F or less. Premix AquaEm and Optiphen ND. Add to finished formula and mix well.
