New! The Herbarie is pleased to introduce Cocoglucoside ET - the newest in our line of natural surfactants. This mild anionic surfactant is derived from natural, renewable raw materials and is biodegradable. Cocoglucoside ET is obtained from a two step process. The alkylpolyglucoside structure is first created by a reaction of natural plant glucose with a coconut fatty alcohol. The second step of this esterfication process produces our natural surfactant, Cocoglucoside ET.
This natural surfactant is exceptionally mild and has excellent cleansing and foaming characteristics. Results from several studies demonstrate Cocoglucoside ET to be non-irritating to skin and eyes, which makes it an ideal ingredient for tear-free shampoo. Cocoglucoside ET can be used alone or with other surfactants to create your own baby products, make-up removers, products for sensitive skin, shampoo, and bath gel. Since Cocoglucoside ET also exhibits good conditioning properties it is perfect for making natural shampoo or other natural skincare products.
There is an interesting synergy (thickening and foaming) between Cocoglucoside ET and some other surfactants such as Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate (2C), Crodasinic LS-30, Cocoglucoside SS, and Cocoamidopropyl Betaine. We highly recommend using Cocoglucoside ET with any of these natural surfactants.
