As Natural As It Gets Shampoo

This formula combines the best of the naturals. The ultra-mild, Polyglucoside/Lactylate surfactant blend combines with our Calendula Extract to create a shampoo that gently cleanses. Our GuarSilk and VenaSilk offer excellent conditioning and add thickness to this shampoo. dl Panthenol is often called “the beauty vitamin” and helps to strengthen the cuticle of the hair and prevent breakage.

Ingredient Part A Distilled Water GuarSilk VenaSilk Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein Calendula Extract WS dl Panthenol Glycerin Part B Polyglucose/Lactylate Surfactant Blend Calendula Extract OS Part C *Lavender EO Optiphen ND Total

Amount 45.7% = 228.50 grams 1.0% = 5 grams 0.5% = 2.5 grams 2.0% = 10 grams 5.0% = 25 grams 1.0% = 5 grams 2.0% = 10 grams 40.0% = 200 grams 1.0% = 5 grams 1.0% = 5 grams 0.8% = 4 grams 100.0% = 500 grams

Weigh distilled water. Take 1/2 of the distilled water portion (room temp), add GuarSilk, hydrate for 15 minutes, stirring periodically. Set aside.Heat remainder of the distilled water portion to approximately 175F, add VenaSilk and mix very well—a stick blender may be helpful. Set aside for approximately 15 minutes. Combine these mixtures. Add Polyglucose/Lactylate Surfactant Blend and gently stir. Add remainder of ingredients and gently stir. Essential oils and Optiphen should be added when mixture is cool (less than 122F/50C). *Other essential oils or fragrance oils can be substituted, but some will have a thinning effect on surfactant based systems. For a thicker shampoo, Glucamate LT can be added to finished formula.
