Amy's Favorite Creamy Conditioning Shampoo

This conditioning shampoo is thick and creamy with a dense, luxurious foam. SCI Flake, SMC Taurate, and Plantapon LGC Sorb provide excellent foam and cleansing with mildness. GuarSilk provides superior conditioning and additional viscosity in this formulation. Calendula Extract OS provides sheen and improves wet combing.

Ingredient Part A SCI Flake SMC Taurate Plantapon LGC Sorb PEG 150 Distearate Glycol Stearate Calendula Extract (oil soluble) Part B GuarSilk Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein dl Panthenol Distilled Water Part C Optiphen ND *LavenderEssential Oil Total

Amount 15% = 75 grams 15% = 75 grams 10% = 50 grams 0.5% = 2.5 grams 1% = 5 grams 2% = 10 grams 0.4% = 2 grams 2% = 10 grams 2% = 10 grams 50.8% = 254 grams 0.8% = 4 grams 0.5% = 2.5 grams 100.0% = 500 grams

In Part B: Hydrate GuarSilk in room temperature distilled water and mix well. Continue to stir until completely hydrated – about 15 minutes. When GuarSilk is completely hydrated, add dl panthenol and Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein. Set aside.

In Part A: Combine all ingredients and heat in a covered double boiler until melted – stir periodically.

Slowly add to Part B to warmed and melted Part A while stirring. Cool down while stirring. Add Optiphen ND and Lavender EO 120F or less.

*Other Fragrance Oils and Essential Oils can be substituted, but may have effect the consistency of the finished shampoo. Small percentages are recommended (1% or less)
