Acacia gum is a natural polysaccharide derived from the sap of the African acacia tree. It has been used since ancient times and is known for its demulcent and anti-inflammatory qualities.
The Herbarie's Acacia Gum is a low viscosity, multifunctional natural emulsifier and stabilizer. The Herbarie's Acacia Gum can be used in body mists, lotions, creams, and hair care products. It is easy to use, readily dispersible in room temperature water, and has good skin feel.
The Herbarie's Acacia Gum must be completely dispersed and hydrated in water, prior to adding oils. Mix well with water and hydrate for 30-45 minutes. Acacia Gum can be heated once it is completely hydrated.
The Herbarie's Acacia Gum is completely natural with no chemical modification.
Natural emulsifier for Facial and Body Mists, Hair Gels, and Sprayable Lotions - 2% to 5% Acacia Gum (to emulsify 0.5%-2% oils)
Natural emulsifier for Lotions, Creams, Skin Care Serums and Hair Care Products -- 5% - 20% Acacia Gum (to emulsify 5%-15% oils) A co-emulsifier may be needed for emulsions containing higher percentages of oils.
Increase emulsion viscosity with XanThix, GuarThix, Sodium Alginate, VenaSilk, UltraMaize, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behenyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol.
Easily disperses in room temperature water and can be heated once product is completely hydrated.
